5 Reasons People Aren't Buying Your Products

The first step to running a successful business is to learn your audience and shape your messaging in a way they find appealing, however even crafting messaging entrepreneurs can find themselves still missing the mark to drive the sales they need. One major component to driving sales is to minimize objections your potential customers have when it comes to spending money with you.
Here are a few issues that could be turning away potential customers:
Janky product images - (a) it’s important to remember that presentation is everything. I always like to think of a plate of food, if it’s presented in an unappetizing way you’re not going to want to eat it and your products are no different. (b) Another product image issue I often encounter are stock photos taken from wholesale sites. Often these images aren’t the best quality and overly circulated too. Once a person sees those images it’s like shopping on Amazon and seeing that “you might also like” section that often shows you the same product being sold by someone for a lower price. When I see those images that’s an instant tell to me that this product may be available for a cheaper price which causes buyer hesitancy. You want people to buy from you without overthinking.
No website - while it’s not necessary to have a website to make money having a website can speak to the legitimacy of a business. People like to feel like they can contact someone if they have an issue, so creating a space where they feel safe is very necessary. There are plenty of affordable landing page providers, currently popular are Linktree and Stan Store.
No merchant service - This is not to shade my Cashapp Queens or Zelle Czars, however there is something about seeing a legit payment processor on a website that makes you feel a bit more secure about the purchase. Again, there are affordable providers available that can link to a webpage to process transactions.
No terms and conditions on your site or landing page - I’ve seen this waaaay too often! There is no section on the site that tells a potential customer the shipping or return policy. This is a big “no-no” and definitely a big red flag for a lot of online shoppers.
Bad customer service - This probably should have been #1 BUT word-of-mouth (or now include social posts) is still the #1 form of marketing and having someone give you a bad review for poor customer service will definitely lead to buyer hesitancy. It’s even more important in this era to provide great customer service because in this day and age it’s not just people verbally telling a few friends about an experience people are posting to hundreds, even thousands of individuals on the daily and you definitely don’t want your reputation ruined!
If you're finding your sales at a stalemate when it comes to new customers take a quick analysis of your business and make sure these are not your issue.
